We hope you don’t mind us trying to summarise what we offer to your school into a version that you can read in ten minutes.  We appreciate that you are busy, and we want to ensure that we get our offer across to you quickly.  Once you’ve seen this, we hope you’ll want to know more about the offer by looking at the detail of our services and some examples.

In ten minutes...

• We focus on Technology for Learning – by this we mean what schools generally call ICT, but we want it to be clear that our real interest is in learning, achievement and attainment

• We give you a menu of items that can be mixed and matched according to your needs

• The menu includes what we call the building blocks of our offer to you – these are:
  • Publications
  • Online tools
  • Time at school with you
  • INSET
  • CPD
  • Bundles of building blocks that we offer as service packages

You choose as few or as many of the building blocks as you need or can afford – from a single bit of online CPD content for £100 to a full service package with additional elements to deal with ongoing needs in School.

• The publications are:
  • The Learning Platform Support Pack
  • The Project Management Support Pack

• The online tools are:
  • The Learning Technology Needs Analysis (LTNA)
  • The Learning Platform Implementation Planner (LPIP)
  • The Pupil Learning Preferences Assessment

• By time at your school, we mean time where we come to you and work with you, your SLT, departments and individuals to focus on specific issues and move school forward in its use of Technology for Learning.

• By INSET, we mean working with a group of teachers at your school to develop them in specific areas of Technology for Learning.  If you want to come together with other schools to get us to do this, we will happily work on an INSET model that includes several schools.

• By CPD, we mean two things:
  • Events that we run at central locations near to you, and which teachers and leaders can attend on a one-off basis of as part of a service package
  • Online CPD, where we provide a blended learning programme of online content and what we call Professional Review Workshops – this reduces the time teachers and leaders need to spend away from school and still enables access to a range of CPD opportunities.

• The service packages take two forms:
  • Our ICT Advisory Service, where we offer highly flexible packages that bundle together the various building blocks into a service that is tailored to the needs of your school
  • Our Focused Services, which are designed to deal with specific school requirements such as support for project management, ICT procurement or E-Safety.

• Finally, we can deliver these services either directly or in partnership with a Local Authority, City Learning Centre, LEP, school or other delivery agent.  We have examples of where we are working to:
  • Deliver the service ourselves directly to schools
  • Partner with City Learning Centres who deliver our service alongside their other services
  • Partner with a LEP to deliver a version of the services to its BSF schools
  • Partner with a Local Authority and School to deliver services through a schools-developing-schools model
  • Engage other private sector change agents to deliver services to their local area
