Inclusion is a wide-ranging topic that takes in everything from Behaviour management, social and racial harmony through to the protection of vulnerable children and education provision in the most difficult circumstance, including prisons and secure units. There are no boundaries, just a need to ensure every child and adult get the best possible opportunity from the education system to make their life fulfilling.

Most educationalists accept that successful schools have a commitment to inclusion and that this commitment is a key factor in securing pupil achievement. This is formally reinforced in the new Ofsted framework.

Enhancing inclusion whilst driving up standards is one of the most challenging issues facing the modern school.
