This one day course is delivered in school. It is focused on in-class practice and uses the Eye for Learning©. It will involve an experienced Cocentra adviser working with key members of staff during the day, using our mobile video technology to record examples of practice within the school. Post observation discussion will be used to develop their judgement and coaching skills.

It is useful for all staff who observe teaching and learning and want to develop their judgement and coaching and mentoring skills.

Aspects covered will be:

    Encouraging ‘the reflective practitioner’

• Developing self-review and evaluation skills.




Understanding and practising the ‘Learning Conversation’

• developing dialogue to bring about learning;

• using objective evidence;

• agreeing developments and goals.
   

Extending teachers to become ‘Deep Learners’

• being able to coach, mentor and train others;

• being able to provide the knowledge and tools for others to assess their own practice and identify and perform the next steps in their development;

• knowing how to make the best use of technology.




  

The cost of the day is £650 plus VAT. This includes a copy of Cocentra’s Teaching for Learning Framework©  (normal cost £95).
